Gretchen WilsonGretchen Wilson makes no apologies for being a tomboy. While her fellow female country superstars are decked in feminine designer gowns at awards shows, the Pocahontas, Ill. native prefers jeans and tank tops for her red carpet appearances.

Gretchen's fashion sense isn't really about making a statement, it's just about being herself. The singer explains that she was a tomboy growing up ... and never really grew out of it! "Still to this day, I've got my certain girlfriends that I get along with because they're a lot like me," she explains to The Boot. "But mostly I would rather drink beer and watch a game with the boys, or go out and shoot pistols and go four-wheeling with the boys than go shopping or go on a cruise or any kind of crazy stuff like that. I've never really been a real girlie girl."

So is Gretchen's daughter, Grace, following in Mom's boot-steps? Not so much.

"It's coming back on me now because I have a nine-year old daughter who can get real girlie sometimes," Gretchen reports. "I'm going through the whole pink craziness around here. Everything's got to be pink!"
