George Strait will have plenty to celebrate by his 61st birthday on May 18. The country music superstar has already scored an impressive 59 No. 1 hits, and now fans and his record label are joining forces to make sure that his latest single, "Give It All We Got Tonight," hits the top of the charts while the Texan is still 60 years old.

The movement, called 60 for 60, encourages fans to use social media sites, such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, to propel the tune to the chart pinnacle. An official website, www.60for60.com, has been created, which has downloadable images to help spread the word.

The King of Country, whose record sales exceed 68 million, already boasts more No. 1 singles than any other artist in history. While he insists he will still make music, he announced last year he would embark on his farewell tour, titled The Cowboy Rides Away, in 2013.

"I always had it in the back of my mind, when I turned 60 it might be the time to start thinking about it," he explained. "I didn't want to book a tour where nobody came."

The Cowboy Rides Away tour will continue Sunday night (March 17) with a sold-out show in Houston, and Martina McBride serving as his opening act. See a list of the remainder of George's upcoming shows here.
