Gary Allan says girls outside of the Golden State like his current single 'She's So California' as much as the California gals do.

Allan once traveled with his musician father, playing all the small bars and clubs in his native state. During that time, he had a good chance to get to know everything there is to know about the women in California! From the very beginning of the song, which he co-wrote with Jaime Hanna and Jon Randall, Allan says "I thought it was a great idea just because I'm from California. I just thought we did a great job on it. Anybody that's from California would love it and we've been playing it all over live in our shows and not just the California girls love it."

'She's So California is off Allan's latest album 'Living Hard,' which the singer says is his most rocking effort to date. Allan says his music has grown over the last few years and his fan base has expanded. "I wanted my music to reflect that and I think the result is that it now has more of an edge to it," he says.

Allan is getting ready to embark on his 2009 tour next week. He kicks it off in Bossier City, La. on January 30 at the Horseshoe Casino Riverdome. He will perform at a variety of casinos, clubs and theatres through the spring.
