It may have been a few months after the fact, but Gary Allan and songwriters Jonathan Singleton and Jim Beavers celebrated their No. 1 single, 'Watching Airplanes,' Tuesday in Nashville. The song actually topped the charts back in February, but the men's busy schedules didn't allow them to get together until now. They were honored with a party at ASCAP, attended by hundreds of music industry associates. Allan told Singleton and Beavers he loved the song the first time he heard it, and that he hopes to work with them again, exclaiming, "Write me another hit!"

Allan had a short break in Nashville after performing with Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Sammy Hagar and LeAnn Rimes on Saturday in Music City. Allan continues on Chesney's "Poets & Pirates 2008" tour Thursday in Evansville, Indiana. See a full list of tour dates here.
