Garth Brooks played concerts in Florida -- Jacksonville, to be exact -- last October, and now he's announced that he'll be returning to the Sunshine State in June.

Brooks, along with his wife Trisha Yearwood, will play Tampa, Fla., for the first time in more than 16 years. The three shows are scheduled for June 5 at 7PM and June 6 at 7PM and 10:30PM, all at Amalie Arena.

Tampa-area Brooks fans will have to prepare to do a lot of (loud) singing those nights. Brooks says that, throughout his World Tour, his audiences have been louder than ever before.

“It used to just be Dublin, Ireland, that could out-sing [me] — you couldn’t hear yourself singing when they were singing,” Brooks says. “Now, [it's] every city.”

Tickets for the Tampa concerts will go on sale on April 10 at 10AM ET; they will cost $61.20, plus $4.28 tax, a $3.25 facility fee and $6.25 in service charges, totaling $74.98. There will be a limit of eight tickets per purchase, and tickets will be available through Ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000 or 1-866-448-7849.

Tampa will be the 19th city that Brooks' tour will have stopped in since it kicked off in Chicago in September. His upcoming April 15 concert in Portland, Ore., will be his 100th concert on this tour.

“For me, I don’t care about the dollar bill bottom line, I care about the memories of, did I have fun there? Did we get to do stuff as a crew there, as a band there?” Brooks says of selecting cities for the tour. “You betcha, we’re going back to all the fun places.”
