Frankie Ballard has opened up for several of country music's biggest artists, including Taylor Swift, Rascal Flatts and Kenny Chesney, but now he's ready to see his own name in lights. The singer has announced his own headlining Light 'Em Up Tour, which will kick off in October.

“So pumped to be taking my full show on the road this Fall,” Ballard says. “Killer venues, all my buddies and no rules … I feel like somebody gave me the keys to the castle!”

The 31-year-old won't be alone for his two-month trek. David Nail will co-headline some dates with Ballard, along with a new group, a Thousand Horses. The entire run is part of Live Nation's Ones to Watch with Skype Tour.

Ballard's sophomore album, 'Sunshine & Whiskey,' landed in the Top 5 and produced the No. 1 single, 'Helluva Life.'

“It was incredibly parallel with what was going on in my life," Ballard says of the tune. "It’s such an appropriate thing for me to be releasing as my first single off the new project. I thought my first single was gonna come out and, ka-pow, be off to the races, but that didn’t happen. But at the end of the day, I feel very blessed to be in the game and to have a new single.”
