In anticipation of their next studio album, Can't Say I Ain't Country, and following the release of singles "Simple" and "Talk You Out of It," duo Florida Georgia Line have shared yet another new track off the project. The group's latest new song is called "People Are Different."

In the new song, FGL shares a message of unity and the importance of respecting all people, even -- and perhaps, especially -- those with differing lifestyles and viewpoints. "Lord knows it'd do us all some good / To walk down the street and smile at a stranger / Heart on your sleeve / And love thy neighbor," the duo reminds listeners. "No matter what shape / No matter what color / Break bread instead of fightin' each other."

Like much of the duo's recent output, the song represents a kind of departure from the subject matter of the feel-good party anthems Florida Georgia Line released early in their career, although the shift could perhaps best be described as an evolution. If a folkier and more restrained version, "Simple" has all the hooky catchiness of earlier FGL hits, for example; likewise, while "People Are Different" may focus more on social commentary and messaging and less on late-night bonfires and windows-down joyrides, the music still highlights the duo's soaring vocal harmony and power choruses, just like it's always done.

"People Are Different" was written by Mark Holman, Hillary Lindsay and Michael Hardy. It is the eighth track on the forthcoming new album, which is slotted for release on Feb. 15, 2019, but is available for pre-order now.
