We have to confess ... Florida Georgia Line's "Confession" performance at the 2015 CMA Awards got our attention.

With the stage decked out to look like the inside of the church, complete with lit candles, the duo stood at the front of the stage and sang the tune: "That guy in the windshield looking back looks just like me / But there's a crack in the reflection / This is just a moonlight-soaked, ring-of-smoke / Right-hand-on-a-cold-one confession."

From their sophomore record, Anything Goes, which was released in 2014, "Confession" is FGL's newest single. The song is more vulnerable than other hits such as "Cruise," and it's refreshing to hear such honesty in their lyrics. Rodney Clawson, Ross Copperman and Matt Jenkins wrote "Confession," and duo member Brian Kelley admits that it's one of his favorites from Anything Goes.

""Confession" is one of my favorite songs off the album … and man, that hook,” Kelley raves via a press release. “Tyler [Hubbard] and I have enjoyed a lot of special moments personally and professionally over the last couple of years, so we really relate to getting in your truck, driving and thinking about where you want to be. A lot of power can come from confessing things.”

Adds Hubbard, "It’s a crazy ride we’ve been on, and this song really hit home. In the middle of celebrations and successes, we have to remind ourselves that we’ve been blessed to be on this journey. "Confession" makes you pause and think for sure.”

FGL are nominated for Vocal Duo of the Year, which they've won the past two years.
