Congratulations to Eric Paslay, who got engaged over the holidays!

Paslay proposed to his girlfriend, Natalie Harker, on Dec. 30, the Tennessean reports. They had dated for about two years before the proposal, and they have known each other for seven years.

The couple met through the music industry: Harker worked at Paslay's previous publishing company. They became friends, and when Harker went to work at a different publishing company, they began dating.

“She was the one that got a bunch of my songs cut -- heck, all of my hits recorded,” Paslay says. "We’ve got a bunch of fun memories together. I keep joking, ‘I guess I have to keep her.’ I’d be a fool to let her go.”

Paslay and Harker are reportedly planning a spring wedding in the Nashville area. His Make Every Night a Friday Night Tour has dates scheduled through April, but the time frame they've chose will allow them to go on a honeymoon before he hits the road again.

“She’s already got the venue and a dress and all kinds of stuff,” Paslay says. “She’s on it. She’s pretty organized, so that’s good. She hasn’t been a bridezilla, so that’s even better.”

The 'She Don't Love You (She's Just Lonely)' singer is in charge of the music, and he's very adamant that the playlist doesn't include any of his songs.

"That’d just be arrogant and awful," Paslay says. "It is hard, though. I have all these favorite songs. She wants me to pick the first dance and all of that. It’s hard to choose. It will be fun.”

Paslay has penned numerous hits for other country artists, including Jake Owen‘s ‘Barefoot Blue Jean Night,’ Eli Young Band‘s ‘Even If It Breaks Your Heart’ and Love and Theft‘s ‘Angel Eyes.’ He released his own, self-titled debut album last year.
