On Nov. 4, 2015, Eric Church showed up at the 2015 CMA Awards with a new album, Mr. Misunderstood, up his sleeve. To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the project's surprise release, Church has announced a live album featuring some of the disc's tracks.

Mr. Misunderstood on the Rocks Live & (Mostly) Unplugged is set for release exclusively through Walmart on Nov. 4 and will feature seven songs -- six from Mr. Misunderstood -- recorded at Church's two sold-out acoustic shows at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheater in August. The record includes "Mistress Named Music," "Chattanooga Lucy," "Mixed Drinks About Feelings," "Knives of New Orleans," "Kill a Word" and "Record Year" from Mr. Misunderstood, as well as Church's cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.”

Church's Red Rocks concerts also included a guest appearance by Cam -- and the announcement of his 2017 Holdin' My Own Tour. The trek, which is set to begin in January, will feature over 50 stops and no opening acts; instead, Church will perform two full sets every night.

“It’s going to be a three-hour show. And the only way to do that was to go by ourselves. Otherwise, it just doesn’t work time-wise. It doesn’t work with the load-in, the load-out,” Church explains. “It gives us two chances as an opener, two chances at closing the show. And it gives us a wide chance to do things, like possibly keep it thematic, where the first set is [songs from] Sinners Like Me through Carolina, and then we come out and run Chief through Mr. Misunderstood. Stuff like that.”
