Eric Church leads an eclectic list of musical talent who will appear on the television series 'Austin City Limits' this year.

The show's 40th season will begin airing this fall, and will feature Church as well as Los Lobos, Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, Valerie June and Thao & the Get Down Stay Down. For his ACL debut, Church will be performing songs from his new album, 'The Outsiders,' on Sept. 23.

The program is taped live before an audience at the Moody Theater in Austin, Texas, and gives viewers a unique look at their favorite artists with intimate full-length performances. ACL airs weekly on PBS stations, airing fan favorite episodes until the new season kicks off. For more information about ACL and to keep up with taping announcements and air dates, visit acltv.com.

In February, 'The Outsiders' debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, selling over 288,000 copies in its first week of release. Church began the project hoping to create something different for country fans.

“It’s a bit of a statement,” Church says. “I wanted to send a message with this album that it’s gonna be different, it’s gonna be another level.”

The North Carolina native is currently on an international tour through Ireland, the UK, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden and Norway. He will kick off his US leg of the tour at the iHeart Country Radio Festival on March 29 in Austin.
