Dolly Parton has done it again. The 68-year-old has earned yet another gold record, signifying sales in excess of 500,000 units, in the UK for her 'Blue Smoke -- The Best Of' collection.

The project includes her latest 'Blue Smoke' album, as well as a second album of some of her biggest hits.

“Dolly could not be any happier,” Dolly’s manager Danny Nozell, CEO of CTK Management, says.  “She has worked very hard over the past several years to create the momentum that we have going.  Everyone at Dolly Records and Sony Music has done an outstanding job with making Dolly’s new music available and the sales prove it.”

The album remains at No. 3 on the UK chart six weeks after its release, and three weeks after her unforgettable performance at the Glastonbury Music Festival.

“'Blue Smoke – The Best Of' is officially gold in the UK, which is a massive achievement for Dolly Parton and the team,” Faye Donaldson, Sr. Marketing Manager/Sony Music adds. “The response to Dolly after her Glastonbury performance has been amazing, and having new music available at the same time has created a reaction that I've never seen before. It’s been just perfect.”

The country music icon was also honored while in Glastonbury for selling more than 100 million albums in her illustrious career.

“I’ve been so busy making records for the past several decades, I didn’t realize I had racked up so many sales,” she says. “What a great honor to know that I have so many fans that have supported me through the years."

Parton wrapped up her global Blue Smoke World Tour earlier this month, and is now focusing on projects closer to home.

“I’m working on some new music,” she reveals. “I’m doing my life story as a musical. I’m also doing my life story as a movie, which also has a lot of music in it. I may possibly do some television and some producing. I’ve got a lot of other business thoughts in mind. I do not plan to do any more touring in the near future.”
