The Dirt Drifters definitely give their all to each and every performance, but the musical wildmen may have taken it just a little too far recently when their guitarist Jeff Middleton broke his arm in the middle of filming the video for the group's new single, 'Something Better.' When director Wes Edwards strapped GoPro HD Hero cameras (the type used at the X Games to capture all the intense, fast-moving action from crazy angles,) on heads, arms, guitars, drums, and anywhere he could, he expected to get some crazy shots ... but broken bones definitely weren't part of the plan for the band's debut video!

"Normally, making videos isn't an extreme contact sport," says Drifters frontman Matt Fleener, "but in our case it was! Why? Because Jeff broke his arm! He broke it right around 2:35 in the video. He's all better now, but he can't help but cringe a little when we play it on the RV in slow motion ... over and over."

Jeff actually injured in the warehouse scene when he ran past a forklift and tripped, falling on his arm. That was just one of many hijinx caught on film during the making of the video -- the guys also had a little fun with the extreme motion cameras by placing one in the bottom of a mug and pouring coffee on it. The clip was shot at two Nashville locations -- The Springwater bar and a lumberyard, which brought back memories for the guys.

"Hats off to our director, as the lumberyard reminded us of the one we used to work at," says Dirt Drifters frontman Matt Fleener. "It made the day that much more meaningful for us, and we were really feeling the 'there's got to be something better than 9 to 5' vibe!"

Bandmembers Matt and Ryan Fleener, Nick Diamond, and Jeff Middleton penned the raucous new tune, which will be featured on their forthcoming debut CD, 'This Is My Blood,' due out later this year.
