Dierks Bentley, Joe Nichols, Josh Thompson, Uncle Kracker and Miss Willie Brown will get their motors running on May 22 for Dierks' annual Miles and Music for Kids motorcycle ride and concert. During its five-year history, the events surrounding Dierks' philanthropy have raised more than $1.5 million for the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. This year's proceeds will be donated to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.

"I've been waiting for the next Miles and Music and some warm weather to get my bike out!" says Dierks, an avid motorcyclist. "Really looking forward to spending time in Nationwide's hometown of Columbus. They do such great things for their community and have been great supporters of our events over the years. [I'm] excited to have some friends come along and help us raise some money for the kids in Columbus."

Although Dierks has always been devoted to the event, it has taken on special significance since he and his wife Cassidy have had two daughters, Evie, who will turn 3 in October, and Jordan, who was born this past Christmas Day.

"These families who have children in the hospital, they need to only have to worry about their child getting well, not where the next money is coming from," Dierks told The Boot at least year's event. "Country music artists have taken an interest in kids, including St. Jude's and what Rascal Flatts has done for Vanderbilt [and other such charities]. It's great to be able to help do something for the kids and their families when they have to deal with life-threatening situations."

The ride will depart from the AD Farrow Co. Harley-Davidson Dealership (7754 St. Rt. 37 E., Sunbury, Ohio 43074) for the hour and a half long ride that ends at the LC Pavilion (405 Neil Ave., Columbus, Ohio 43215) for the concert portion of the event featuring Dierks and his special musical guests.

Tickets for the event go on sale at 10:00 AM on March 18. For more information, check here.
