Dan + Shay fans may think that Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney are the most adorable duo in country music, but in their new music video for "Nothin' Like You," the pair of singers has teamed up with something even cuter.

The clip takes viewers through a strange day following a particularly drunken evening at an awards show. The duo is seen at a diner the morning after the show, wondering what they got themselves into the night before.

"Dude, what happened last night?" Mooney asks Smyers, who replies, "I have no idea," with a hungover groan.

The boys soon realize that they collected a Doberman Pinscher at some point during the night, and the video takes off from there, with Smyers and Mooney running through town and country with a pack of adorable pups.

After all the fun and games, Smyers and Mooney take a mud-covered moment to recognize the main reason for making the music video: to raise awareness for animal rescue with the help of National Canine and Proverbs 12:10 Animal Rescue.

"Making the video was an absolutely amazing time," Mooney tells People. "Getting to hang out with dogs all day could hardly be considered work. Although I think I burned about 3 million calories by chasing after them."

The duo co-wrote "Nothin' Like You" with Chris DeStefano and Ashley Gorley. They chose the track as their newest single mainly due to fan demand.

"We listened to our fans on this one. "Nothin' Like You" was always the best crowd response at our live shows, so we knew the song was reacting," Smyers says. "The positive message about loving someone for who they are is something we support and like to be vocal about.

"The timing couldn't be better on this release," he continues. "The song sounds good cruising down the highway with the windows down, and who doesn't love summertime?"

Adds Mooney, "I love this song because it sheds a good light on being a little left of center. It's our weirdness sometimes that sets us apart in the best ways."

"Nothin' Like You" comes off of the pair's debut album, Where It All Began. The project is available for download via Amazon and iTunes.
