Dan + Shay Drop Tender New Song, ‘All to Myself’ [LISTEN]
Dan + Shay fans are getting to hear more new music ahead of the duo's next album: On Thursday (May 3), Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney shared "All to Myself," an island-inspired love song.
Readers can press play above to hear "All to Myself." Against a backdrop of bongos, finger snaps and a guitar line that'll have you dreaming of a moonlit sandy beach, Smyers and Mooney sing about the woman they want "in the worst way."
"I want you all to myself / We don't need anyone else / Let our bodies do the talking / Let our shadows paint the wall," Dan + Shay sing in the chorus of "All to Myself." "I want you here in my arms / We'll hide away in the dark / Slip your hand in my back pocket / Go and let your long hair fall / I want you all, all, all to myself, to myself ..."
"All to Myself" is the second song Dan + Shay have released from their forthcoming third studio album with Warner Bros. Nashville; it follows their single "Tequila," which dropped in January. No further details about the record are known, but it's due out later in 2018.
Dan + Shay last released a new disc, their sophomore album, Obsessed, in 2016. That record spawned two No. 1 singles, "From the Ground Up" and "How Not To." In 2017, both Smyers and Mooney got married: Smyers married his fiancee, Abby Law, in May, while Mooney married his fiancee, Hannah Billingsley, in October; Mooney and Billingsley have a son together, named Asher James, who was born in January of 2017.
"That definitely goes into your music," Mooney says, though both he and Smyers say they're still able to pull inspiration from past, pre-marriage experiences, and from what their co-writers are going through.
