Craig Morgan Joins Hometown Sheriff’s Department to Spread Holiday Cheer

Craig Morgan joined the Dickson County Sheriff's Department just before Christmas to help spread holiday cheer in his hometown.

The singer teamed up with current deputies, including Chief Deputy Jerome Holt, to hand out gift cards to local residents, to help them complete their holiday shopping lists, and to show his support for law enforcement.

“Lately, there’s been a lot of negative publicity for law enforcement because of a couple of incidents in the news,” he says in the Facebook video above. "One of the things that our Sheriff’s Department does is, they spend a lot of time trying to make sure the public understands their role and make sure that they understand that they’re there to help, not to do bad things.”

Morgan is a former sheriff's deputy with the department.

“A huge thanks to all of the law enforcement for all they do every day to serve our communities and protect our lives,” he says at the end of the video.
