Chuck Wicks, Julianne Hough Booted From ‘Dancing’

'Dancing With the Stars' first real-life couple has been eliminated from the show. Country singers Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough were let go Tuesday night, despite scoring an admirable 51 out of 60 points on their last dance. Wicks ends up placing sixth in the 'Dancing' celebrity crop -- an impressive finish given he was quite the underdog in the beginning.

"To all the critics that thought we weren't going to last -- we did it," Wicks said after learning his 'Dancing' fate. "Now I'm going to go out on tour and enjoy doing what I love, and that's country music."

The five remaining celebrity contestants are Olympic gymnast Shawn Johnson, rapper Lil Kim, actor Gilles Marini, rodeo champ (and husband to Jewel) Ty Murray, and reality TV star Melissa Rycroft.

Wicks and Hough have been dating almost a year. They met while on tour with Brad Paisley last summer. Hough, a professional dancer and singer, is a two-time 'Dancing With the Stars' champ. She has said she will not return to the show next season, so that she can concentrate on her music career.
