Chris Young's 'Voices' has jumped to the top of both the Mediabase/Country Aircheck and Billboard country charts this week. Second place is split with Blake Shelton's 'Who Are You When I'm Not Looking' jumping to No. 2 on the Mediabase chart, and Kenny Chesney's 'Somewhere With You' dropping to No. 2 on Billboard. Luke Bryan's 'Someone Else Calling You Baby' is No. 3 on both charts.

Chris has made chart history with his latest single, 'Voices,' by joining Randy Travis as only the second artist in Billboard country chart history ever to release the same single and same recording of a song and see it go to the top of the chart. Randy scored a chart-topper with 'On the Other Hand,' which peaked at No. 67 in 1985, only to hit No. 1 the next year as the follow-up to Randy's Top 10 song, '1982.' Chris' 'Voices' was released in 2008 and spent 20 weeks on the charts stalling at No 37. It was re-released in July 2010 following the singer's first two No. 1 singles, 'Gettin' You Home (The Black Dress Song)' and 'The Man I Want to Be.'

"We always believed in this song," says Chris. "I had a lot of fans that told me, 'We believe in that song.' And then country radio is supporting this and pushing it, and it's so cool to see this song doing so well. It is a blindside moment. It's almost like when I got nominated for the Grammy. I just was not expecting it, and it's so cool to see all this stuff happening."

"It's so funny to see this song [do so well], since it's technically been out twice," Chris continues. "I laugh about it, and it really is truly amazing how much country radio really has embraced me as an artist and stuck up for this song, and people are obviously loving to hear it."

You may be wondering about another song, Dolly Parton's 'I Will Always Love You,' which hit the top of Billboard's country chart in 1974. She released the song again in 1982, and it also topped the country charts a second time. The difference was she re-recorded the song for the movie soundtrack to 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas,' while 'Voices' and 'On the Other Hand' were the exact same recordings. Dolly had further success with her song again in 1995 as a duet with Vince Gill, but it only peaked at No. 15. Whitney Houston version topped them all, spending 14 weeks at the top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart.

Following the news of his latest chart-topper on Monday (February 7), Chris has released his new single, 'Tomorrow.' The Tennessee native is headed to Knoxville, Tenn., to play all of his hits on February 10, followed by a trip to Los Angeles to attend the Grammy Awards where he is nominated for Best Country Male Vocal for 'Gettin' You Home.'
