Chase Bryant is in good company. The 21-year-old has released his debut single, 'Take It on Back,' which landed in the Top 3 most-added songs at country radio, behind only Luke Bryan and Florida Georgia Line.

The song is from his upcoming album on Red Bow, a division of Broken Bow Records, which currently has Joe Nichols and David Fanning on the roster. Bryant will co-produce the new record, thanks to his impeccable demos he recorded when he was trying to secure a record deal.

"[Label head Benny Brown would] listen to my demos and say, ‘Where did you cut that?’ or ‘Who produced that?’" Bryant recalls. "And I’d always say, ‘In my closet. Cut it myself. Played it myself.’ Benny trusted me enough to co-produce with Derek George. He gave me the reins, which was something I always wanted.”

Bryant's musical ability is in his blood. His grandfather played with Roy Orbison and Waylon Jennings, while his uncles co-founded the band Ricochet. But in spite of the success of his relatives, he insists he will find his own path.

"This is the first chapter of my book, and I think people will find it defines where they’re at just as much as it defines where I’m at -- because we’re the same -- I’m just the guy with the guitar," Bryant notes. "If I wasn’t, I’d be the guy on the front row with his arm around his girl raising a glass to the guy onstage. No question. It’s just who I am. Music is everything.”

The Texan will also join Brantley Gilbert on his upcoming Let It Ride Tour this fall. See all of his upcoming shows here, and download 'Take It on Back' here.
