What a week for 'The Voice' season three winner Cassadee Pope. In addition to releasing the video for her new single, 'Wasting All These Tears,' the 23-year-old singer made her debut on the hallowed stage of the Grand Ole Opry on Tuesday (July 16).

Pope later shared the above picture of herself with
Instagram, writing, "It was already an honor to play the Grand Ole Opry last night. But opening for @dariusrucker was the cherry on top! What a sweet man."

Though she spent some time fronting a pop-rock band, Pope says that country is her true calling. “People don’t realize that country music is my background and that’s what I sang as a kid,” she tells Nashville's Tennessean newspaper. “I went through my rock phase, but now I’m back in a place where I feel the roots coming back from country music. I’m just infusing all of them into one. The Opry has always been something I wanted to do and as a kid I covered all the artists that sang on the Opry stage.”

'Wasting All These Tears' is the first single from an album Pope is slated to release in the fall.
