Cassadee Pope has been tapped to perform during the opening ceremony of the 2015 Special Olympics World Games.

Pope will perform her new single, "I Am Invincible" during the event. The Season 3 winner of The Voice will share the stage with Stevie Wonder, Avril Lavigne, Nicole Scherzinger, O.A.R., Cody Simpson, J Balvin, Becky G and Siedah Garrett.

“With athletes, coaches and families traveling to Los Angeles from all over the world, I’m beyond excited to be a part of the lineup for the opening ceremony of the 2015 Special Olympics World Games,” Pope says. “The mission of the World Games around acceptance and inclusion for all couldn’t come at a more perfect time, and I’m excited to support all these amazing athletes.”

Pope's new tune has an especially appropriate message for the opening ceremony. With lines like, "I’m invincible / I’m unbreakable / I’m a diamond cut to last / I’m unstoppable / I’m a hero / Like a phoenix from the ash," its message is one that Pope says is relatable to almost everyone.

“It’s very empowering,” Pope says. “Very sassy … I’m showing a little bit more of an edgy side of myself.”

"I Am Invincible" is the debut single from Pope's upcoming new album, which is currently a work-in-progress.

“I’m writing a lot and in the studio a ton, just getting a bunch of demos together and really comparing,” Pope tells The Boot. “I’ve written so much the past 8-9 months that my catalog is ginormous. It’s fun for me to kind of get to sift through and kind of get the best songs of the best.”

The Special Olympics World Games' opening ceremony will be held on July 25 in Los Angeles and broadcast live on ESPN beginning at 9PM ET. The games run until Aug. 2.
