Carrie Underwood is the latest celebrity to be featured in "Behind Every Famous Person is a Fabulous Teacher," an award-winning ad campaign in support of TeachersCount.org, pairing celebrities with their favorite educators. And in Carrie's case, she's being spotlighted alongside three teachers: her mom, a 25-year teaching veteran, and sisters Stephanie Underwood Shelton and Shanna Underwood Means, who both are both currently working as educators in Tennessee and Oklahoma, respectively.

"Teaching was something that ran in my family. I have always admired my mother and sisters for making a difference in the lives of so many." says Carrie, who graduated from Checotah (Okla.) High School as salutatorian, and later attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla., graduating magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in mass communication.

Carrie is the first country artist to participate in the campaign, which has featured such celebs as 'Today' show weatherman Al Roker, 'Ugly Betty' star America Ferrera, and former First Lady Laura Bush.

The TeachersCount campaign is designed to promote public support of the teaching profession, to make current teachers feel appreciated in their jobs, and to encourage today's young people to become tomorrow's fabulous teachers.
