Even though Jason Aldean is in the midst of his own headlining tour, he didn't want to miss the chance to open for Brooks & Dunn's last trek together.

"I've been a fan of those guys for as long as they've been around and never had a chance to tour with them at all. I've done a couple of shows with them here and there, but that was always a tour that I wanted to be on -- to go out with Brooks and Dunn," says Jason.

Both Jason and the superstar duo have the same manager, so he went in to his office and pitched the idea. "I said, 'Look, this is the last year they're gonna be out and I want to do some of these dates. I don't know if it's gonna work out if I can do the whole thing, but I at least want to be on a few of these dates and be a part of it before they call it quits,'" Jason recalls. "And so it worked out, and we were planning on going out on our own this whole year until that came up and then we changed gears a little bit. It's gonna be fun ... I'm excited to be a part of their last tour. It's gonna be incredible."

Brooks & Dunn's The Last Rodeo Tour kicks off in Sacramento, Calif. on April 23.
