Brantley Gilbert and Eric Church wrote a song together, because ... well, why the hell not? The pair found inspiration for the new tune from one of Eric's buddies, who came to the end of his rope.

"It's a funny one!" Brantley tells Taste of Country of the song he penned with his tourmate. "He had a buddy who called him and was talking about his job. He said, 'Man, I'm working 50 hours and getting paid for 40 ... I'm thinking about just quitting. I'm already broke!' So we put that into music."

The result is titled "Why the Hell Not, I'm Already Broke," something a lot of people can relate to in these tough economic times.

No specifics on when the song will be released to the public. Eric has already said that he's going to be taking some time off from the studio.

"I can tell you that I'm starting to feel the fire a little bit creatively," he tells Rolling Stone. "I've been working on some stuff but it's just not there yet. I'm gonna wait till that happens. I'm going to let that play out. When I feel like every day when I get up I'm writing songs, that's the time to make a record."

The "Creepin'" singer will spend the next few months on the road with Kip Moore and Justin Moore serving as his opening acts. See a list of upcoming shows here.
