The 2014 ACM Awards got a bit of Latin flair, thanks to Shakira and Blake Shelton's duet of her latest single, 'Medicine,' from her new self-titled album.

The Colombian star and the Entertainer of the Year nominee blended their voices perfectly together, singing "I don't reach for the bottle of whiskey / Straight on the rocks / But you won't see me popping the pills ...You're the only thing that will / You're my medicine, medicine."

Shakira hinted the song had a country feel even before it was released. "It’s a country, folk song," she explained. "I kind of directed him. I wrote the song with some people from Nashville and I sent it to him and I was super-nervous. I was like, ‘Oh my god. What’s he going to think?’ And he loved it. He said, ‘Wow! This is exactly what you were talking about. I love this song.’”

This was Shelton's second time to share the stage with a female singer. Earlier in the night, he performed his duet, 'My Eyes,' with Gwen Sebastian.
