Billy Ray Cyrus Wants Whoopi in New Movie?

Billy Ray Cyrus wants Whoopi Goldberg to be his leading lady.

The country star/actor appeared on ABC's 'The View' last week, happily announcing to Whoopi and her co-hosts that he's called off his divorce from wife of 17 years, Tish. He was equally proud to report that rocky relations with daughter Miley have gotten much better, and that his family is back on track.

In an unaired segment, Billy Ray also apparently talked a little shop. According to the New York Post, he pitched a movie idea to Whoopi. He's written a screenplay called 'Paris,' and wants the Oscar-winning actress to direct and star in the film.

"There's not a lot of movie stuff for me these days, because, apparently, it turns out I'm black, Billy," she joked with him, according to the Post. "Let's play. I'm up (for it)."

The newspaper claims Whoopi even volunteered to lose weight for the role. Billy Ray will reportedly star in a supporting role, along with funnyman Chris Rock.
