Ben Watt of Everything But the Girl will be playing three solo shows in the US this June, on the heels of his new solo album.

Watt is preparing to release his first solo album in over 30 years, 'Hendra.' The alt-folk project will be available on April 29.

To support the album, Watt will be playing two shows at Joe's Pub in New York City on June 11 and 12 before heading to the West Coast to perform at the Echoplex in Los Angeles on the 13th. He will be joined by Bernard Butler, the former guitarist for Suede.

The video for Watt's single, 'Spring,' debuted recently at Entertainment Weekly. Watt held a video contest for the songs from the album earlier this year. He judged the submissions with his friend, filmmaker Mark Cousins, and settled on the video for 'Spring' from David Vespremi.

"The song is about drawing strength from small things as you get older," Watt tells EW. "As Mark says of the film, 'It hints at people -- a boy, surfers, a woman at a window -- who stare out into seascapes and cityscapes. It is lovely, mysterious and melancholic.'"

Watt recently teamed with Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour for a live acoustic performance of 'The Levels,' another track from the album. View that video below.
