The Golden Boot Awards are back!

The Boot's fan-voted digital awards return in 2015 for a second year, and this time around, we've added two new categories -- New Artist of the Year and the Living Legend Award -- in addition to our five original categories: Artist of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, Music Video of the Year and Live Act of the Year. Each category features staff-selected nominees who made waves in the country music world from May 2014 through April 2015. Let's take a look at this year's Artist of the Year nominees.

Garth Brooks returned to country music with a bang this year. The six-time ACM Awards Entertainer of the Year is currently out on his massive World Tour and released Man Against Machine shortly after his comeback.

With his 2014 release, Old Boots, New Dirt, Jason Aldean had one of only two platinum-certified country albums last year; the record also debuted at No. 1 across all genres. Aldean has partnered his 2015 Burn It Down Tour with Kenny Chesney‘s 2015 The Big Revival Tour for some stadium dates this summer, and it's set to be a huge event. The ACM Awards Male Vocalist of the Year for the third year in a row, Aldean is burnin' it down (pun intended) right now in country music.

Luke Bryan is the current CMA Awards Entertainer of the Year and ACM Awards Entertainer of the Year. His That’s My Kind of Night Tour was one of the biggest tours, among all genres in 2014, and Bryan has his own Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit coming this summer.

In June 2014, Chesney released "American Kids" to radio, and it added momentum to his 16th studio record, The Big Revival. His huge summer tour was announced in the fall; it kicked off on March 26.

Eric Church was the only other country artist besides Aldean to have a platinum album in 2014, and it happened with The Outsiders. The record also earned the top spot on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart when it debuted, giving Church the fourth-biggest debut week among all artists in 2014. He's currently on The Outsiders World Tour, with dates scheduled through the fall.

Miranda Lambert is the reigning ACM Awards Female Vocalist of the Year -- and has been for the past six years. She's a force of nature, and the singer's fifth studio record, Platinum, gave her her fifth consecutive No. 1 record and made her the first artist in history to start her career with such an accomplishment. With a Grammy win for Best Country Album recently under her belt as well, Lambert is the queen of country in every way.

Which of these nominees do you think should win the title of Artist of the Year in the 2015 Golden Boot Awards? Vote as often as once per hour in the poll below through noon ET on Monday, June 8, and we'll announce the winners on the site.
