Amber Hayes has released an exclusive video in advance of the upcoming film, 'Cowgirls 'N Angels 2: Dakota's Summer,' in which she appears, singing a country classic.

"I am so honored to have been asked to record one of country music’s most recognized dance songs, ‘Cotton Eyed Joe,' for 'Dakota’s Summer,'" she says.

"The track is very different from what my fans might expect from me, but I suspect that they will enjoy our twist on the track. I’m thrilled with the music video and can’t wait for the release of this wonderful, family film.”

'Dakota's Summer' tells the story of Dakota Rose, a cowgirl and competitive trick rider, who finds out at the age of 17 years old that she is adopted.

The movie follows her journey in discovering the truth about her birth parents, and how she was adopted. As she makes peace with her heritage, she also fulfills a lifelong dream of becoming a champion trick rider with her team, Sweethearts of the Rodeo.

This is not Hayes' first appearance on the big screen. She also appeared in the first movie in this film series, 'Cowgirls 'N Angels,' where she sang a duet, 'Always There for Me,' with Lonestar's Richie McDonald.

'Cowgirls 'N Angels 2: Dakota's Summer' will premiere at the Dallas International Film Festival on April 5. The film's soundtrack album is available here.
