Alan Jackson's first tour of Australia is a sell-out! In fact, the trek is reportedly the fastest-selling country music tour in Oz history, having sold-out within hours of being put on sale.

The tour, which features Miranda Lambert as Alan's special guest, kicks off in Melbourne on March 4, followed by shows in Sydney (March 7) and Brisbane (March 10 and 11), with a third show in Brisbane being added to the schedule. Tickets for the newly announced March 12 show go on sale October 14.

When reached on his boat about adding another date to the Australian tour, the Georgia native laughed, "I'm a Southern man, and that's about as far South as we can go -- let's go do it!"

The singer-songwriter has never been Down Under in his double-decade career, but it's not for lack of trying on both the part of Alan or Australia. "They've been trying to get me down there for 15 years [laughs]. I'm finally gonna go, I guess," Alan tells The Boot. "I understand we've sold a few records down there. I think it'll be fun. It's not that I never wanted to go, we just kind of haven't scheduled it. It's a long time to be away from home and so it just seemed like this year [worked]. We almost went last spring, and it didn't work out. But we're finally going, and I think it'll be some good shows."

Will he be taking along his wife and three daughters? "Denise may go. The girls are in school during that time," says Alan. "They don't want to go anyway. Our girls have done so much, and I told somebody, I said, 'I quit trying to make them do stuff because they've got to have something to do when they get grown. So, now they can do all that stuff when they get older. [laughs]"

Alan will definitely be playing many of his numerous hits, all of which are included on his upcoming '34 Number Ones' album, a collection featuring his 34 No. 1 songs, as well as three other tunes, including the Zac Brown Band collaboration, 'As She's Walking Away.' The double-disc project is set to arrive in stores November 23.
