Thanks to heavy thunderstorms and lightning threats, the 2018 Pilgrimage Music & Cultural Festival was sadly cut short. What was supposed to be two days of music on Sept. 22-23 ended up being just shy of one full day. However, while festivalgoers missed out on sets from big names such as Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile, the artists who did get to play made those few hours worthwhile.

These five artists may not be household names just yet -- but that just gives you more time to learn about them early on and spread the word about how great they are. From Tyminski to Sarah Shook & the Disarmers, here are five artists you must check out that we got to see at the 2018 Pilgrimage Festival (at least part of it).
