The Academy of Country Music revealed the nominees for the 2017 ACM Awards on Thursday morning (Feb. 16), and, as always, the nominations list featured some pleasant surprises ... and some not-so-pleasant snubs.

It's both surprising and a snub that neither Blake Shelton nor the Zac Brown Band are anywhere to be found among this year's ACM Awards nominees. Radio hits? Check! Loads of fans? Check! Heck, Shelton even used to co-host the ACMs! Alas, there's no love for either act this year.

That said, it's a good surprise to see Florida Georgia Line get some love in the Entertainer of the Year category; it's also nice to have Kane Brown's name among the New Male Vocalist of the Year nominees.

For the first time ever, the show will take place at T-Mobile Arena; Luke Bryan and Dierks Bentley will return as co-hosts.
