They don't call him King George for nothing.

This weekend, George Strait wrapped up his the Cowboy Rides Away farewell tour with a record-shattering show in Texas -- just one of the reasons The Boot's readers voted him Live Act of the Year and Artist of the Year in the 2014 Golden Boot Awards.

Strait beat out Jason AldeanLuke Bryan, Eric Church, Taylor SwiftCarrie Underwood and Zac Brown Band in the Live Act of the Year category, earning a whopping 49.24 percent of votes. Saturday (June 8)'s final show at AT&T Stadium drew 104,793 fans, breaking a North American indoor concert attendance record that stood since 1981, when the Rolling Stones drew 87,500 fans to the Louisiana Superdome.

The reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year, Strait defeated Aldean, Bryan, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, Kacey Musgraves and Blake Shelton to take home Artist of the Year. In this category as well, he earned a majority of the votes -- 53.39 percent.
