Darius Rucker raised almost $49,000 at his inaugural Darius and Friends St. Jude benefit concert last year, and now the singer has announced he will return for an encore performance this year.

The second annual Darius and Friends concert will be held Monday, June 6, at the Wildhorse Saloon, just prior to CMA Music Fest, which kicks off later that week. "It's extremely important to me to grow our annual benefit for St. Jude, as I pledged to help each year with their fund-raising efforts," Darius explains on his website. "CMA Music Fest is a great time to host the event because we reach so many of our core fans and St. Jude supporters."

The former Hootie & the Blowfish frontman hasn't announced who will join him on stage this year, but with an all-star cast last year, including Jamey Johnson, Radney Foster, Jake Owen and Randy Houser, it's likely this year's event will feature some serious star-power as well. Tickets for the Darius and Friends St. Jude benefit concert go on sale March 23.

The charitable singer isn't limiting his goodwill to St. Jude. He helped clean up the Ninth Ward neighborhood in New Orleans earlier this year, and performed a free concert for fans and volunteers in the area in January. In addition, proceeds from the iTunes sale of his single, 'Together Anything is Possible,' are benefiting several charities across the country.

The South Carolina native is spending the next few months on the road, performing several solo dates as well as joining good friend Brad Paisley for select dates on his H2O II world tour. Keep track of Darius' tour schedule here.
