Toby Keith has always been an outspoken supporter of our country's men and women in uniform. Now he's joining forces with several NFL superstars, forming a non-profit organization called Pros 4 Vets, which will work to support servicemen and women and their families, long after they return home from service.

"This is a subject very near to my heart," Toby says (quote via Herald Online). "Our soldiers leave their families to fight for us, and we want to fight for them. Long after the 'Welcome Home' parade, many soldiers face medical and legal challenges. It's our duty as Americans to take care of our men and women in uniform when they come home. We invite professionals from all fields to step up to this challenge and help American soldiers and veterans."

The ACM Entertainer of the Year nominee will be joined by Chicago Bears player Tommie Harris, Roy Williams of the Cincinnati Bengals and Mark Clayton from the St. Louis Rams. Together, they will work to raise awareness about the needs of veterans, utilizing a team of doctors, lawyers and other professionals who are willing to offer their services free of charge. Those wishing to make a donation to Pros 4 Vets can do so here.

In addition to devoting his time to the non-profit, the 49-year old is also running his restaurant chain, I Love This Bar & Grill, producing his oldest daughter Krystal's debut album and spending a lot of time on the road, playing shows all across the country. Keep track of his concert schedule here, and watch him perform his latest single, 'Somewhere Else,' live in our studio below.
