Rascal Flatts Extend Nothing Like This Tour

Rascal Flatts have successfully wrapped the first leg of their Nothing Like This tour -- but the guys had so much fun on the road, they decided to extend the show into 2011.

Playing to more than 650,000 fans in 2010, the superstar country trio -- Gary LeVox, Jay Demarcus and Joe Don Rooney -- promise even bigger shows and more chances for their loyal fans to get up close and personal with them. Chris Young will remain on the tour, while Luke Bryan, fresh off the Jason Aldean tour, will replace Kellie Pickler for the remainder of the shows.

The Flatts' time off the road for the rest of 2010 will allow the guys to spend more time with their ever-growing families. Jay's wife, Allison, is pregnant with their first child, a daughter due in January. Joe Don and wife Tiffany just had their second child, daughter Raquel Blue, in September. And Gary has two precious daughters of his own, Brittany and Brooklyn.

Nominated for an American Music Award , four American Country Awards and a CMA Award, the guys will also work hard for the remainder of the year promoting their first album for new label home Big Machine Records, 'Nothing Like This.'

"We're really excited about the new music and it's a different path for us this time," Jay tells The Boot. "We cut some things that we wouldn't have cut in the past, and we're really excited about doing something a little bit different this time. We've been with [producer] Dann Huff now for four records, and he really pulls something new out of us every time we get in the studio. This time, we went out to Santa Barbara, Calif. for about a week and tracked and did a little recording out there, just to mix it up a little bit. We just focused on the task at hand, and we got to collaborate with each other and talk about the direction of this record and really focus on it a lot more than we had in the past years."

The guys current single, 'Why Wait,' is currently in the Top Ten on the country charts. [Watch its funny video below.] Their new CD will hit shelves November 16.
