Within the past year, Keith Urban has added a half dozen more industry awards to his bulging trophy case, chalked up massive attendance numbers on a whirlwind world tour, reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart , celebrated his third wedding anniversary and his baby girl's first birthday, and surprised his adoring fans with performance after electrifying performance. When the country superstar took a moment to look back at highlights from the past year, he sat down with The Boot to talk about some of our favorite photos that captured those events.

We're pretty much in Skynyrd territory down there! [laughs] It was just rowdy, full of energy. The fact that we were playing right there on the track of the Daytona 500 was phenomenal. I've watched that race for many years on television ... even in Australia they show the Daytona 500. So that was surreal, to play in that venue.
