Is there anything you miss about the old days, playing for tips in Nashville bars?

We didn't have our own music, so we were able to play all of our old heroes songs: Randy Travis, Merle Haggard, Conway Twitty, Vince Gill. And we don't get to do those very often now. You know, when you do covers, the critics seem to drill you on it: 'Oh, they did a remake of so-and so. Why can't they do their own music?'
