Kellie Pickler to Return to ‘American Idol’

Tonight, Kellie Pickler is going to visit the grumpy older man who used to have a crush on her. That would be Simon Cowell, of course. Pickler will appear on tonight's 'American Idol' results show to perform her hit song, 'Red High Heels.'

"It's kind of like a homecoming," Pickler tells AmericanIdol.com. "I'm so excited to see everybody and see the new stage and set."

The bubbly blond says she loved being a contestant on the show. She finished in sixth place on the fifth season of the series, and she managed to do something few contestants can -- win Cowell's admiration.

Pickler says she keeps in touch with several fellow Idol alums, including Carrie Underwood and Bucky Covington, who live in her new hometown of Nashville. And she was a bridesmaid in 'Idol' runner-up Katharine McPhee's wedding.
