The Band Perry have much to celebrate as they wrap up 2011. The trio, comprised of Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry, saw their self-titled debut album reach platinum status, watched their latest two singles ('You Lie' and 'All Your Life') reach the Top 20, and learned their 2010 mega-hit, 'If I Die Young' achieved triple-platinum status (signifying sales of more than three million!). In addition, the siblings scored double ACM and CMA Awards (with Kimberly getting a third CMA trophy for Song of the Year) and hit the road as supporting acts for Tim McGraw, Keith Urban and Reba McEntire, while they also began their first headlining trek, the Purveyors of Performance Tour. Their success, the siblings concede, has been hard to absorb.

"We've gotten to go through a mixed bag of experiences over the last 12 months," Kimberly tells Music Row. "Most sweet, and then even a few bittersweet because, obviously, with our lives changing, some of the relationships and friendships in our life has changed as well."

The Alabama natives plan on spending their holidays off the road, working on new music and reflecting on the past year. "It'll be the first time that we've had to be still," Kimberly adds. "As creators, we kind of have to decompress so that our imaginations can run wild a little bit. And we're so excited about the songs in the store house so far."

As they begin work on the new CD, the threesome aren't at all afraid of the dreaded sophomore slump that plagues so many artists. "The album is starting to take shape, and we've been taking writers out on the road all the time," Neil notes. "It's growing up just a little bit, not too much. But it's gonna be really fun."

They also plan on incorporating into their new music the mixture of emotions they have faced in their whirlwind rise to the top. "I feel like we'll be responding to all of those things and way different emotions in the project," Kimberly says.

The Band Perry will head into 2012 with a calendar full of tour dates, both as headliners and an opening act, along with Scotty McCreery, on Brad Paisley's Camobunga! 2012 World Tour. They can also be found ringing in the new year on 'Dick Clark's New Year's Eve Rockin' Special' along with Florence & The Machine, Gym Class Heroes, Nicki Minaj and OneRepubic.
