The song was written by brothers Brett and Jim Beavers and Brett and Brad Warren and earned McGraw his second-highest debut on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart (No. 33). "Felt Good on My Lips" reached No. 1 in January of 2011, has been certified gold and was included on McGraw's 2012 release, Emotional Traffic.
