These past few years have brought with them some amazing releases from Americana, alt-country and folk artists, but 2016 might have been the best year yet.

With a recent trip Down Under and an upcoming European tour, the Cactus Blossoms are making a name for themselves internationally in the country music and Americana scenes, not to mention picking up steam in North America.

Though we could spend hours chatting about every record that has hit our turntables this year, we've whittled our favorites down to a more comprehensive list.
