Luke Combs’ Wife Thought He Got Arrested After Watching the News
Luke Combs' wife Nicole got quite a scare when she tuned into the news on Wednesday morning (Sept. 18) and saw the headline "Combs Denied Bail" flash across the television screen.
"The way I about JUMPED out of my seat when I turned the TV on this morning," she joked on an Instagram Stories slide, along with a photo of the offending headline.
It's not entirely clear where the country star was on Wednesday morning, but it makes sense that he wouldn't be at home, or even in the same city as his wife, due to his busy touring and performing schedule that keeps him on the road for weeks or months at a time.
Like any big country star, he has to juggle family life with performances, meaning it's entirely plausible Nicole wouldn't know exactly what he's up to on any given day.
Still, he's not the "Combs" referred to in the headline. Of course, Nicole had tuned in during a news story about Sean "Diddy" Combs, the hip-hop legend who is currently facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.
According to CNN, the singer and mogul will remain in jail after a judge denied his appeal for bail on Wednesday, on the grounds that he is at risk of obstructing the case. He pleaded not guilty to all charges filed against him on Tuesday (Sept. 17). If convicted, he faces up to a life sentence in prison.
Meanwhile, the country star Luke Combs is continuing to see his star rise. Earlier this week, he announced a new slate of stadium shows for next January in Australia and New Zealand.
Combs and Nicole, who got married in 2020, are parents to two young sons: Two-year-old Tex and newly 1-year-old Beau.
