Gretchen Wilson Went to Extremes to Sell Her Luxurious Tennessee Home [Pictures]
Gretchen Wilson recently sold her luxurious home in rural Tennessee, and in a new interview, the country singer reveals that she had to jump through some unusual hoops to get the deal done.
Talking to Taste of Country Nights host Evan Paul, the "Redneck Woman' singer revealed that she had to include quite a few extras in the sale of her home.
"I sold a piece of property, and they wanted all of it," she explains.
"They wanted my mowers, they wanted my pool table, they wanted my pool sticks ... I had to leave a lot of my stuff in that house when I walked away," she says, adding that she ended up leaving "most of the things in it."
Wilson listed her 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom, 2,225-square-foot home for sale on May 31, asking $625,000. She sold the house for $630,000 in a deal that closed on July 11. The final selling price breaks down to $283 per square foot and a monthly payment of $3,489.
Wilson has made some big real estate moves over the last decade-plus. She sold her former rural estate in Wilson County, Tenn., in 2011.
