College football season just started, but has already seen some major surprises (Florida State, anyone?) and awesome new traditions (shoutout to Oklahoma for the Toby Keith love).

This weekend, we have our first Top 10 matchup between the SEC and the Big10, plus some other matchups that will have you denting the couch all weekend long.

The Tennessee Volunteers go on the road on Saturday (Sept. 7) to take on the NC State Wolfpack. NC State is coming off a disappointing season opener where they had to work to take down Western Carolina 38-21. On the flip side, the Vols started off the year perfectly as they blasted Tennessee Chattanooga 69-3. Young QB Nico Iamaleava is about to be one of the biggest names in the sport, and a road win against a ranked opponent will go a long way toward possibly getting Nico in the Heisman discussion. That game is set for a 7:30PM kickoff on ABC.

A sneaky good matchup is the Baylor Bears making their way west to take on the Utah Utes. Both teams looked really strong in week one, but Utah may be sneaking ahead to a rivalry game next week against Utah State. Cam Rising made his return last week for the Utes and put up 5 TDs in one half of football. This early season Big12 conference matchup gets started at 3:30PM Saturday on Fox.

But the biggest game goes down in the Big House: The Texas Longhorns, fresh off their playoff bid last season, roll into Michigan to face off against the defending national champion Wolverines. Texas looked the part of a playoff contender in week one, as they did whatever they wanted in a 52-0 beatdown of Colorado State. Michigan kicked off their title defense with an ugly 30-10 win over Fresno State. Texas is roughly a 7-point favorite on the road — this matchup is set for a noon start on Fox.
