People Magazine

Carrie Underwood covers this week's People magazine -- out Friday (April 5) -- where she talks about her lovely marriage to hockey player Mike Fisher. While the "American Idol" winner continues to break records with the success of her career, she admits that one thing that would make her way away from it all would be her better half.

"If Mike ever told me he needed me to quit, I'd quit," Carrie tells the publication. "When you make that promise to somebody, and you stand before God and your family and friends, you've got to do everything that you possibly can to make that work."
When they're home, Carrie says that she and her husband of nearly three years like to host wine-and-grill nights with friends. They can also be found going out to the restaurant they deemed "our place" when they first started dating: Subway. The 30-year-old also finds inspiration to stay fit from her Nashville Predator player husband.

"Even when he's like, 'I'm so out of shape,' he still has a six-pack," she explains. "Having Mike there – I want to be a hot wife!"
