Jake Owen is getting ready for his headlining gig on the 11th annual CMT on Tour, which will conclude with one very special show. The multi-city trek, dubbed Jake Owen: The Summer Never Ends 2012, will wrap up with the country star's annual fundraiser in his hometown of Vero Beach, Fla. The concert, which will be held on Dec. 15, will benefit St. Jude Children's Hospital and Autism Speaks, as well as several local charities and youth organizations.

This year's show marks the first time Jake's benefit will not coincide with pro tennis player Mardy Fish's annual charity event. Since 2006, the singer and the athlete, who went to high school together, have partnered together for Mardy's Tennis & Jake's Music Fest in Vero Beach. This year, the tennis pro will hold a separate event on Dec. 4-6.

Though the newlywed (and soon-to-be dad) Jake has admittedly become more of a homebody since settling down, he still gets a rush from the road. The "Alone With You" singer is thrilled with the fanbase he's earned through his electric live shows. "I really love entertaining," he tells The Boot. "I feel like that's a huge compliment when people say, 'I didn't know much about your music, but man, your live show was so great that we're fans. We're going to go buy your record.' That's all I'm trying to do day by day, fan by fan."

A venue has yet to be determined for Jake's Florida benefit show. He recently wrapped up his role as an opening act for Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw on their Brothers of the Sun tour, and will kick off his CMT on Tour trek, with Love and Theft and Florida Georgia Line serving as opening acts, on Oct. 10 in New York City.
