Taylor Swift Admits Using Sharpie as Eyeliner, Shares Recent Style Secrets

Taylor Swift has undoubtedly signed thousands of autographs with her beloved Sharpie, but the Cover Girl spokesmodel admits the indelible black marker has come in handy for making a mark on herself as well, when in a desperate situation.

"I once used a Sharpie as eyeliner in an airplane bathroom because I didn't have any with me," the songstress reveals to refinery29.com. "I don't recommend it."

The "Eyes Open" singer, who revealed a fascination with the Kennedy family in the February issue of Vogue magazine (which featured the blond beauty on the cover), says the clan's matriarchs inspire her fashion sense as well.

"I love looking at photos of Ethel and Jackie Kennedy back in the '50s and '60s," the 22-year-old notes. "Something about that elegance is really lovely and makes me want to dress more like they did. I'd never thought about wearing pearl earrings or head scarves before [being inspired by] them."

Taylor, who defines her look as "classic, feminine and retro," explains that she has plenty of options for her long golden tresses. "I decide based on what I'm doing on any given day. Lately, I've been doing my hair in a way that's sort of a combination of the two, smooth on top with a loose curl at the bottom. My go-to easy hairstyle at the moment is a ponytail with some kind of headband or scarf."

The reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year also took to her Facebook page earlier this week to talk music, dropping a few hints about an upcoming album. "I'm writing you from Nashville, where I just sat in a big room with a lot of people and made a lot of decisions about a lot of things happening very soon." she shared with her more than 32 million friends on the social website. "And as vague as that sentence was, I think you know what it means. Stuff is about to happen."

Taylor's next scheduled concert is at the iHeartRadio Festival in Las Vegas in September, which is the same month her new fragrance, Wonderstruck Enchanted, will hit shelves.
