Kenny Chesney is going to the Jersey Shore! No, not the TV show. The singer-songwriter is headed to the Garden State to play a free concert on the beach. The 75-minute performance will take place in Wildwood, on an outdoor stage South of Morey's Pier, on June 20.

While the event is free, tickets are still required for admittance. Members of Kenny's fan club, as well as American Express cardholders can get theirs now through Ticketmaster. The tickets officially become available Monday (June 11) at 10:00 AM ET.

The show is scheduled only one day after the release of Kenny's latest album, Welcome to the Fishbowl. The title of the album comes from an experience with some of his football-playing buddies at the Red Bar, a beach hangout in Grayton Beach, Fla.

"We walked in, and it was packed," Kenny explains (quote via USA Today). "There was about 20 minutes of people coming up, saying hello, wanting to get something signed. After that died down, one of those guys said, 'I didn't realize your life was like this.' I said, 'Hey, man, welcome to the fishbowl.' As soon as I said it, I realized that I was going to write a song about how our world and our culture is shrinking."

Kenny is currently on the road with another famous friend, Tim McGraw. The two take their Brothers of the Sun tour to Dallas tomorrow (June 9). Get more information here.
